Today was the third theme day here on YGG Season 3; Lumberjack Day!
We had lots of great participation, here are some of the best!
The female finalists:
The winner was Julia Vickerman: a great animator, storyboarder, painter and the most birthday'd girl in the office. Happy birthday Julia!
Other candidates were: Estee Castillo and Shana Levi-Nielsen... great job!
The male finalists:
Joel Fox swept the male category today with his dead-on atire, homemade axe and winning smile. Joel makes the magic happen around here, he is in charge of motion graphics and FX, so naturally, he's got the magic.
Other runner-ups were: Mark da Intern, CJ and Bryan Schlam... Huzzah!
Here is the whole lumberjackin' crew:

Today we started filming...
...it will forever be remembered as D-Day.
To pay homage to those heroes of the original D-Day, we decided that the first dress theme was that of fatigues, camo and smiles.
There are dress themes set for every day this production season, be on the lookout for each day's winners.
Today's winners were:
Our Producer Rita Peruggi, congratulations!
She was wearing her brothers ACTUAL Army uniform!
Our Chief Lighting Technician Avi Roffman, hoo-rah!
Great job acting the part today, he was saluting everyone left-and-right!
Here's a great group shot of everyone that decided to dress the part, thanks guys!
Like I mentioned, shooting started today. We had a really great 1st day, with plenty more to go. I can't mention any spoilers, but be sure you all are in for a treat in season 3!

So Long Paul!
Today we say goodbye to Paul Meshreky. A dear friend I first worked with at Paul Frank Industries who joined the Yo Gabba Gabba team at the beginning of Season 2. Paul continued to assistant me through the YGG's off season on merchandise and licensing stuff. Aside from being the most Egyptian friend I've ever had, Paul's a dedicated hard worker, hilarious buddy to everyone, master of the "awkward hug", and voted Most Eligible Coptic Bachelor of the Decade. That's right ladies, the quadruple threat! You might also notice Paul's design work from super cool clothing company, Toddland!
Paul, I miss you already and I wish you the best in your future.

It's Adam's birthday!
We caught Adam as he was packing up, in hopes to sneak off to the Happiest Place on Earth...
But it's a good thing that we caught him!
Adam Deibert is an amazing musician that has played major roles in the likes of The Aquabats, Digital Unicorn and Call Sound Call Noise. His talents span YouTube and beyond. His charming smile makes unicorns swoon. Adam, on this day, your birthday, we'd like to say, happy birthday! YAY!

Think Inside The Box!!
If you are reading this right now, STOP. No, wait. Finish reading this, THEN STOP. Jack In The Box is now carrying Yo Gabba Gabba! finger puppets in their kids meals! And if you're too young to play with finger puppets, there's a squeeze ball with ALL the characters on it! And if you're don't have the money for a kids meal (who does in this economy?!), you can always paint your finger red, add an eye and play along as Muno! Everyone will clap for you!
Here's the official Jack In The Box site with all the info you'll need! Now you can stop reading and go buy some kids meals!
MORE BIRTHDAYS! No way? WAY!

WE DID IT! Yo Gabba Gabba at the TCAs!
Ok! This past weekend Yo Gabba Gabba was honored with a TELEVISION CRITICS ASSOCIATION AWARD for BEST CHILDREN'S SHOW!
It is super crazy, but yes, hundreds of legitimate television critics from across the nation honored us with this amazing award. it was such an honor to be recognized along side so many other incredible ground breaking shows.
Check here for links to the articles on the awards and the ceremony:

We took some fun photos and were so honored to accept such an honor, on behalf of all of the great friends we work together with on the show. Now, if the emmys would catch a hint! HA!
Here is a photo of 'almost' all of us in attendance at the show. (left to right) Director Scott Schultz, his lovely wife Ruth, (in back) Associate Producer Nate Rogers, Nick Jr. Executive Jason Caparaz, Executive Producer John Berrett, DJ lance Rock, Director Christian Jacobs, Animation Art Director Parker Jacobs and Executive Producer Mike Polis
Not only were we invited to the ceremony, we got our own table... with our name on it! Scott can't hardly believe it!
Here is Dj Lance Rock and TCA winner Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Malcom in the Middle) Mr. Cranston's acceptance speech had DJ Lance and C. Jacobs in stitches, especially when he suggested host Chelsea Handler got her jokes out of the trash can! HA! He was super cool!
Here is Ruth Schultz and Kristin Berrett looking lovely.
Executive Producer Jon Berrett and Kristin holding the award. Jon was the first guy to take a chance on Yo Gabba Gabba Magic Store and well... thanks Jon! We did it!
